WHAT THE FRAK!!!!!

Chief Justice Roberts sold us out! He sided with the libs to uphold Obamacare! The vote was 5-4 for Obamacare, so you could say that Roberts was the deciding vote.

I'm going to be ill...no, I am ill!

  1. I have downloaded the decision, but I don't know whether or when I will ever have the stomach to read it. What a steaming POS it is.

  2. Here is Paul Mirengoff's (from Power Line) explanation of how CJ Roberts arrived at his decision. Mirengoff is a bit of a squish as conservatives go, but I think he gives a fair summary of Roberts' reasoning, which I broke down and skimmed during lunch. Regardless, Roberts' reasoning is still a pile of bovine excrement. At any point in the process, Roberts could have just as plausibly answered "no" to his own arbitrary questions. It still reads to me that he was looking for a plausible excuse to give ObamaCare the green light. For the first time, I seriously wonder whether we would have been better off with Harriett Myers.

    1. I guess the name is actually Harriet Miers. I try to be more careful than that about names.

  3. Reading the joint dissent by Scalia, Alito, Thomas, and Kenedy, there are some not-so-subtle smack downs of Roberts' "judicial modesty." They essentially argued that it is little more than a tortured rationale for judicial activism.

  4. Well, I guess it gives the Republicans even more fodder for November.

The markets sure did not like it!
