I've been reading about the Dems complaining that Walker outspent them by 7+ to 1.
From what I've read, the truth is that they aren't including what the unions, who started the whole recall event, paid. Also, whereas Walker's supporters had to create their machine almost from scratch, Barrett was benefiting from the unions' perennial campaign infrastructure already in existence.
The race tightened as the results came in. It ended up being 53 to 46 percent.
