Petty Peeved

Am I the only person who has never used one of those handicap "Push to Open" pads? I cannot believe how many people in these buildings go out their way to use those pads when it would be so much faster and easier to simply open the doors themselves. Just now, I had to wait behind and able-bodied man who was waiting for the door to open after he pressed the pad.

Second-hand waiting is a killer!

  1. Don't get me started on this subject...seriously, people can't open a door themselves? If you are able bodied and your hands are full or you're lugging something around, then sure...they are pretty handy. Other than that though, I do not understand why people can't expend a bit of effort to open the door for themselves. They had these on all the major doors at the Carlson School and perfectly fit people would just stand there and wait for the door to sloooowly open rather than just pushing the door open themselves. Amazing.
