Visiting Mere-bot this weekend!

I'm heading out to San Francisco this weekend to visit Mere.  I think we are going to do Napa Saturday.  Beyond that it is fairly open. Any ideas/recommendations for us?

Stolen Coat and Keys

So as some of you know my coat, along with my only car key, were stolen while I was at a birthday party Saturday. Yes, sadly, it was my awesome new coat that I got for christmas.  Believe me I'm not happy about it.

I am almost done replacing everything though, which is good.  I ordered another coat (the same one) and it should be delivered, I hope, tomorrow. Thankfully we have had a bit of a warm week so it hasn't been hell walking around outside. And today I got my car towed into the shop to get the new key, so painfully expensive for a single key?, programed.  I'm hoping to pick it up before the weekend as well.

That's my mini update for this week.  I have pottery class tonight.  We are making bowls.  Wish me luck!

Sad News Today!

Mary Jo called this morning to say that Steve Koester, husband to Ken's sister Bunny, died from pancreatic cancer early this morning.  Bunny was with him at the time and his kids had been with him last night.  At one point they had thought he might have a couple more months, but in the past couple weeks he had taken a turn for the worse and had been in increasing pain.

Last I heard, they haven't settled on a date/time for the funeral but they are thinking probably late this week.  If it is Friday or Saturday, I should be able to make it and would be happy to carpool with someone; however, if it is Thursday, I have to teach in the afternoon and I can't really get out of that.

 I was thinking of starting up a blog/web page for the family to consolidate the emails we send out every day. It would be a better way to keep track of things like photos, cabin and house search updates, general news or funny things we come across. Hopefully this will catch on.  Let me know if there are any changes or tweaks to the site that you think would be beneficial.  I sent out an invite to you all, so in theory you should all be able to post something upon accepting.
